You’re getting your name and/or your product in front of thousands of individuals and families who are so loyal to this event that they walk even in driving rain! It’s a unique, fun, family event, and there’s a very special vibe, unlike any other in the city. You’ll see all kinds of families taking all kinds of four-legged family members on a walk around the world’s most famous 2 ½ mile oval. Some quick Mutt Strut facts:

• In 2012, more than 6,000 humans and 5,000 of their furry family members attended.
• 67% of registrants are women, 33% men.
• Walkers come from 15 states and 63 Indiana counties. The top five cities represented are Indy, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood and Noblesville.

And…

• There are approximately 77.5 million owned dogs in the United States; 39% of US households own at least one dog and 63% of households have a pet.
• Of the approximately 658,000 households in the Indianapolis MSA, it is estimated that over 237,000 or 36% have at least one dog
• Nationally, 21% of owned dogs were adopted from a shelter – we need to increase that number!
• In 2011, it is estimated that $50.84 billion was spent on our pets.
