In additional to the fun of walking around the Track, you’ll have the opportunity to visit with our sponsors, see some great demonstrations, and much more! The traffic and parking around Indianapolis Motor Speedway can take some time to navigate, so please allow yourself enough time to arrive and join the fun!

Event Schedule

9:30am – Gates and Registration Open!

• Entrance off 30th street – see the map and day of schedule for Mutt Strut 2012.
  
• If you registered after March 30th your t-shirt and wristband will be available in the registration area

9:30am-3:30pm – Visit our Party on the Plaza!

• Sponsor booths including dog treats, pet food, vet clinics, apartment complexes, other pet products and much, much more!
• Microchipping by the Humane Society of Indianapolis
• The IndyHumane Re-Tail store – purchase one of a kind Mutt Strut & IndyHumane items for you and your pooch
• Colts in Motion
• Appearances by Indianapolis Colts “Blue,” Indianapolis Indians “Rowdie,” IUPUI’s “Jawz,” University of Indianapolis’ Greyhound and many more!
• Music provided my Cumulus Radio Stations
• On-stage demonstrations and activities (see below for schedule)
• Indy Dog & Disc Club Demonstrations in the North Chalet

• Pet Psychic Marilene Isaacs from Center of Peace (starting at 11:30am)

10:45am – Opening Ceremonies – featuring Grand Marshalls Kalen Irsay, Sarah Fisher, WRTV-6 Meteorologist Kevin Gregory, i94 DJ Marco, Butler Blue II and Butler Blue III, The National Anthem sung by Jennie DeVoe. Our Grand Marshalls will lead the Strut in 2012 Indy 500 Pace Cars!

11:00am – Official Start of Mutt Strut 2012 (you do not have to be present for the start of the Strut – we do a rolling start)

11:30am-3:30pm – On-stage demonstrations and activities:

11:00am – Canine Search & Rescue Demonstration by Midwest Search Dogs

11:30am – “Pet Fashion Show 1” presented by Harrison College (visit the Harrison College booth to sign your pet up to be our “best dressed” pooch!)

12:00pm – Round of Appaws with emcee Todd Connor (WRTV-6 evening co-anchor) – a Tribute to the American Shelter Dog, the announcement of the 2013 Top Dog (including a parade of IndyHumane adoptable dogs and success stories)

12:30pm – Canine Training Tips presented by IndyHumane’s Canine Training School

1:00pm – K-9 Officer Demonstration presented by Methodist Hospital K-9 Officers

1:30pm – “Pet Fashion Show 2” presented by Harrison College (visit the Harrison College booth to sign your pet up to be our “best dressed” pooch!)

2:00pm – Round of Appaws 2 – A Tribute to the American Shelter Dog (including a parade of IndyHumane adoptable dogs and success stories)
