The Humane Society of Indianapolis invites you to join fellow animal lovers from across the nation on Sunday, April 25, 2010, for the 7th annual Mutt Strut, the day the track goes to the dogs. Your support helps provide shelter and care to animals in need on the path to loving lifetime homes. Mutt Strut is Indiana’s largest pet walk - it’s a fun and family-friendly event that includes a 2 1/2 mile walk (with or without a pet) around the famous oval at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Event Day details include:
Date: Sunday, April 25, 2010 Time: Check-in is from 11:00 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. and participants may check in any time during these hours Place: Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Gate 9A off Georgetown Road. View map. Cost: $25 minimum pre-registration donation fee for ages 16 and over, $15 for ages 7-15, children age 7 and under are free but will not receive a t-shirt. All individuals must be pre-registered before April 21.
$35 minimum on-site registration donation fee per person for ages 16 and over, $25 for ages 7-15, children age 7 and under are free but will not receive a t-shirt. T-shirts will be given to on-site registrants while supplies last.
Kick off Mutt Strut with the waving of the green flag at 11:15am by our three Co-Grand Marshals: Pam Boas, of the Tony Stewart Foundation and Tony’s mother; Tony Hoard and his Australian Shepherd Rockin’ Rory, a disc dog champion and semi-finalist on America’s Got Talent; and Brian Wilkes, Chief Meteorologist for Fox 59 News.
Also visit the IMS Plaza to visit all of our sponsor and vendor booths, shop the HSI Re-Tail Store and have your pet microchipped! Don’t forget to stop by the HSI booth on the big day to have a caricature sketch done by Herron School of Art student Christine Plantenga or for a reading with Animal Communicator Shannon Gross. Each is available for a $20 donation to the Humane Society of Indianapolis or you can get a special discount on both for a $30 donation to benefit the animals.
